Tamara Guiliford

Many years ago, I turned to yoga for relief from horrible back pain. Over the years the benefits of practicing have enriched my life way beyond physical healing. As a busy mother of three boys, I take any chance I can get to be in the yoga room. Being in the hot room, it feels like a safe space to ground myself and come out a better version of myself. It is my deep belief that we as humans need to carve out time to care for ourselves so that we can better care for those we love. Teaching yoga is something I feel so blessed to be able to do!

Dana Vasquez

Beginning my yoga journey in 2003, I was hooked from the first classed; the intensity, the connection, the sweat. I loved the challenge and the states of bliss. I became a teacher in the fall of 2006, and have continued to be in awe of the amazing magic and the many layers of yoga on and off the mat! I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to lead and share with people on this life's path!

Bryan Massey

I started practicing Bikram Yoga in Tucson, AZ in 2007 after a friend’s recommendation. After walking out of my first class I knew this yoga was for me. I enjoy the challenge and how I feel after class. I went to teacher training in 2012 and have been teaching and learning ever since. What a great journey this has been for me.

Dawn Hoppe

I first discovered Bikram yoga in 2006. Initially I was looking for something calm my mind and ease my anxiety. It was not at all what I expected, but it was exactly what I needed. When I started, I was out of shape physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Gradually this yoga helped me heal mind, body, and soul. I kept showing up on my mat and I got to know myself. There was a feeling of connectedness and purpose that I hadn’t known before. I’ve now been teaching this yoga since 2007, and it continues to amaze me how powerful and transformative this practice is and how much I love sharing it with others.

Laurie Popovac

I’ve practiced Bikram Yoga since 2013 and have been teaching since 2016. I always try to bring lightness and humor to my life. Humor is often the best medicine, so I bring some of this lightness into my classes. To be able teach and learn from my students has been rewarding and fulfilling. When I'm not in the hot room, you can find me busy with my hair business as an independent hairstylist.

 

Tany Nguyen

As a pediatric speech therapist, I decided to enroll in my first Bikram yoga class in 2007 to reduce stress and anxiety. After a few classes, I began to notice the increased mental focus, improved physical strength, and spiritual growth. This motivated me to complete her 200-hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training, with a goal to deepen my knowledge and truly embody the lifestyle. Having practiced yoga for almost ten years, the practice has help me to be more enthusiastic, positive and zestful person. I’m excited to this healing practice and passion for Bikram Yoga.

Ashley Flowers

I took my first Bikram Yoga class two weeks after moving to Sacramento from Mississippi in 2012, and was hooked from my very first class. I initially went to class in search of a full-body workout that I could enjoy, but ultimately found so much more than that as my practice continued. I found that it provided a perfect balance to my life as a nurse. It greatly reduced my stress and anxiety, gave me the energy and agility needed to make it through long shifts, and I was able to experience relief from pain caused by herniated discs in my back. practicing for a year and a half, I decided to go to teacher training in 2014 so I could learn more and share this healing practice with others. I am thankful every day that I found this practice and I am constantly inspired by seeing the change it makes in others’ lives as well

Julie Havelock

I attended my first Bikram yoga class to stretch out and give therapy to my sore muscles and back pain. I immediately became hooked. I had never experienced a total body workout that gave me so much energy and such a complete sense of well-being. I became convinced this style of yoga was the key to superior health and wellness. An unanticipated but important bonus was how much this yoga was helping my sleep, moods, blood pressure, stress level, cholesterol levels, and countless other things I couldn’t see or feel. Through all my trials and tribulations, yoga has always been a source of solace for me. My goal is to bring the healing of yoga to anyone who wants to be part of our community. I hope you find Purely Hot Yoga to be a friendly and supportive place. I hope you discover the healing, sense of peace and well-being that so many others have found through this practice.
