I took my first Bikram Yoga class two weeks after moving to Sacramento from Mississippi in 2012, and was hooked from my very first class. I initially went to class in search of a full-body workout that I could enjoy, but ultimately found so much more than that as my practice continued. I found that it provided a perfect balance to my life as a nurse. It greatly reduced my stress and anxiety, gave me the energy and agility needed to make it through long shifts, and I was able to experience relief from pain caused by herniated discs in my back. practicing for a year and a half, I decided to go to teacher training in 2014 so I could learn more and share this healing practice with others. I am thankful every day that I found this practice and I am constantly inspired by seeing the change it makes in others’ lives as well
